From the Zulutrade home page we can access another interesting section of the site.
The Zulutrade Economic Calendar.
Pretty much every day, all over the world are released economic, financial and political news. This news very often are the very things that cause price movements, which increase the volatility, those movements that traders, or our Signal Provider, are seeking for taking advantage of and make profit.
This data releases have very specific times, so that everyone can know in advance when and where to look, and are cataloged by country, obviously based on the origin and membership of the data.
It’s clear that precisely that currency of that country will probably be more interested and involved in the release of the data.
Zulutrade gives us the opportunity to follow very efficiently these economic news. As you can see, in the middle you have a list of all the news of today, and if you scroll to the bottom of the days to follow.
Time is shown, which is based on the time zone of Athens that is UTC + 2, the country of origin of the news, the specific name of the data and, on the right, the currency that will be most affected.
Beside the time we have instead a symbol that indicates the power of impact of that data release on that country and therefore on that currency.
Green weak impact, orange medium impact, red strong impact.
Then, the news that are about to be released are evidenced in yellow by Zulutrade. High above all, are duplicated in yellow the news that are about to go out, but instead of the release time, an auto updating countdown is shown, which starts from how many minutes are left until is less than one minute, as you can see below.
On the left Zulutrade also includes a useful filter system. You can filter the events based on the importance and impact, or you can choose to display only those news related to one or more currencies.
It lacks only one thing to add. Zulutrade shows only the details that I just listed, but it doesn’t show the data itself just released. It seems a very strange thing, and in fact it is a little bit.
But I must admit that the economic or financial or political news are always very difficult to interpret. Even when everything seemed obvious and blatant, I’ve seen things go opposite to what everyone expected.
So even I personally, when I trade, I do not care too much of the trading value of the data itself when it comes out.
What I do instead is opening this page of Zulutrade on the morning, and worring about whether and when any important data will be released, so that I know in advance that something big could happen.
If this is the purpose, this Zulutrade tool is just right for us.
